About Dream by Vivacity Tech PBC
Dream is a device asset management application built by Vivacity Tech PBC for K-12 schools and school districts. It helps school technology teams track Chromebooks and other student devices, manage repair tickets, and locate and recover missing devices.
Dream is used by school and district technology staff, repair technicians, teachers, and students at K-12 schools and districts.
What Dream Does
- Device asset management — Keep an inventory of Chromebooks and other student devices, including which student or staff member each device is assigned to.
- Repair tickets — Create, track, and complete device repairs, with status updates for students, staff, and repair technicians.
- Device location and recovery — Use last-known location information across school sites to find missing devices and get them back to students.
How Dream Uses Google Data
Dream connects to a school's Google Workspace for Education account only to provide the features above. Dream uses the following Google data:
- Google sign-in and Google ID — To let school users sign in to Dream with their Google account and to sync that account to the matching Dream user.
- Google Workspace user directory (Admin SDK Directory API) — To import the school's users and organizational units (such as name, school email address, and organizational path) so devices and repairs can be matched to the right students and staff.
- Google Admin device inventory (Admin SDK Directory API) — To import the school's managed ChromeOS devices so they can be tracked, assigned, and repaired in Dream.
- ChromeOS device telemetry (Chrome Management Telemetry API) — To show device health information, such as battery and operating system details, that helps technicians diagnose and repair devices.
Google data that is available to Dream but not listed as used in our Data Usage Policy is not processed by Dream. Dream does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
Acceptable Use of Google APIs
Dream does not use Google APIs or Google user data to create, generate, edit, or distribute sexually explicit or intimate imagery, including AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery (AI NCII).
